A part of the “Invited by the Sky,” series. This painting features a great white egret. I think they are so graceful and beautiful. Something interesting about this piece is that it has a sort of opposite color relationship than the rest of the paintings in this series. The other birds are blue tones and the background white and cream tones. For this panting, the bird is white, so the background is bluer. By having an opposite color arrangement, it actually blends with the series quite seamlessness and I find that rather poetic.
