Resilience

12×24 Mixed media and Oil on Gallery Wrapped Canvas Wired and Ready to hang

Jellyfish are one of the oldest species on the planet. Their bodies are soft, yet they have survived for eons.

I am a woman of grit and perseverance, and in my mind that often looks like cuts and bruises, elbow grease, and scars. But this painting reminds me that sometimes strength, perseverance, and resilience can look patient. It can look like consistency, slowing down, going on anyway, and preserving oneself.

Sometimes resilience looks more like grace.
